From exhibitions to theater to ghoulish fun, there are plenty of arts and creative events taking place during Ypsi in October. Issues of the Environment: Emergency order in place to address Avian Influenza in Michigan
Avian Influenza is running rampant through Michigan and other parts of the country. Bird flu is nothing new, but this year, it has spread to dairy cattle. The impacts affect animal farming, consumer prices and the economy. As such, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) has issued an emergency order to try and stop its spread. Department director, Dr. Tim Boring, provided the most up-to-date information in his conversation with WEMU's David Fair.

Issues of the Environment: Electric vehicle industry highlighted at Detroit Auto Show
The Detroit Auto Show has a major focus on electric vehicles this year. Gone are the days where auto companies feature concept vehicles, but there is the opportunity for you to get in a new EV and run a test track.
