#OTGYpsi: 'Embracing Unity through Art' is the theme of the RAC's 4th annual Black artist exhibit
In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy and the upcoming Black History Month, the Riverside Arts Center is presenting its fourth annual Black Artist Exhibit. This year's theme is "Embracing Unity through Art" and is made possible by the African American Cultural Historical Museum of Washtenaw County, the Palm Leaf Club, and by Ronnie and Gloria Peterson. Ronnie Peterson himself will talk about the exhibit in detail with Lee Van Roth.

Washtenaw United: VITA offering free tax preparation assistance to qualified Washtenaw County residents
The tax deadline is rapidly approaching, and all too many in Washtenaw County can't afford to have someone prepare the forms for submission. Help is available. Patrick Cornelius oversees the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in Washtenaw County and joined WEMU's David Fair to discuss tax code changes and finding those it helps with the biggest returns possible.

Washtenaw United: 'Road to Restoration' clinic in Ypsilanti aims to help combat cycle of poverty
Black and Brown residents in Washtenaw County are disproportionately impacted by traffic violations. Associated costs help contribute to a cycle of poverty. The state is offering help through its "Clean Slate" program. The Deputy Legal Director of the Department of State, Khyla Craine, joined WEMU's David Fair to discuss the driver's license restoration program.

Issues of the Environment: White-nose syndrome threatens Michigan's bat population
It seems like paper and rubber bats are ever-present around the Halloween season. It's real bats we have to worry about. White-nose Syndrome is having a dramatic impact on overall bat populations in Michigan, and elsewhere. The ecological and economic impacts are already being felt, and the situation may get worse before it gets better. Dr. Allen Kurta is a biology professor at EMU and a noted bat expert. He joined WEMU's David Fair with the latest information.

creative:impact - Recognizing creative distinction: Peter "Madcat" Ruth
Peter "Madcat" Ruth and his harmonica have delighted music fans here and across the world for decades. A Grammy Award winner, Madcat includes Dave Brubeck and his sons Chris and Danny Brubeck, as well as his longtime partner Shari Kane, on the list of those with whom he’s made music. Madcat receives a Lifetime Achievement Medal on February 27 at THE pARTy!, Creative Washtenaw’s signature benefit event. He joins "creative:impact" host Deb Polich and they talk about his life and career.
