Puppies To Provide Final Exams Stress Relief to EMU Students

Wikipedia

Pet a puppy and be happy! You've done it. We've all done it. The Pre-Vet Club at Eastern Michigan University believes petting a puppy is therapeutic in times of great stress. What's more stressful for a college student than final exams?

The club will hold it's semi-annual "Finals Stress Relief Pet-Puppy Day on Tuesday.

The group says puppies will be available for petting from 11am to 3pm tomorrow in the Rock Garden of the Mark Jefferson Science Complex.

The event, while free, will also prove beneficial to an area animal shelter.

There is no charge to pet the puppies, but a donation jar will be available and the money raised will be dedicated to care for animals in need.

Nearly three-quarters of David Fair’s 20+ years in radio has been at WEMU. Since 1994, he has been on the air at 5am each weekday on 89.1 FM as the local host of NPR’s Morning Edition. Over the years, Fair has had the opportunity to interview nationally and internationally known politicians, activists and celebrities. But he feels the most important features and interviews have been with those who live and work here at home. He believes his professional passions and desires fit perfectly into WEMU’s commitment to serving a local audience.
