You don't have to be a video game player to have noticed the current craze of people playing "Pokemon Go" on their cell phones.  It's had an impact on local players in the community.

Have you noticed someone walking down the street, staring at their phone and looking around in hopes of capturing a Pokemon character?  It's a location-based augmented reality game that is taking players  to different locations in different communities so they can capture a character.

Shannon Hamel, library associate at Eastern Michigan University's Halle Library, said it was a quiet summer Sunday last weekend, when a hundred people showed up at the library trying to capture a Pokemon.

"I ran into, you know, a dad who was pushing his child in a stroller, but he was playing Pokemon Go."

TheAnn Arbor Public Library set up a special site providing tips and information for local players that players can follow on Twitter here.
