No one was hurt by a fire that damaged an electrical bicycle manufacturing facility Friday in Ann Arbor.
Fire began outside Mahindra Genze at 1901 Ellsworth just after ten o’clock Friday morning. The fire began in several bales of cardboard outside the building but traveled inside after spreading to a nearby dumpster and trailer.
The damage was limited to an extreme corner of the building, according to Ann Arbor Fire Chief Mike Kennedy.
“We’re probably looking at over $100,000 in damage, but the main manufacturing area was not destroyed by the fire,” says Chief Kennedy.
There were no injuries and no cause of the Ann Arbor fire is known at this time.
