WISD Working On Plan To Complete School Year

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District is working on an action plan after Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued an executive order saying that K through 12 schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year.

WISD Superintendent Scott Menzel says a "Distance Learning Plan" will be created and used by its school districts during the coronavirus pandemic.  While a general plan will be offered, Menzel says each district will be able to implement it, according to the resources they have.

"Through online learning, through video conferencing, use of telephones, but also likely some form of instructional packets and support materials that can be delivered to students who don't have access to technology"

WISD hopes to offer more information to students and parents next week.  The executive order calls for districts to implement their plans by April 28th.
