Members of the public now have access to proposed settlement documents in legal proceedings regarding the 1,4 dioxane plume contamination in Washtenaw County.
A Washtenaw County Trial Court judge has partially lifted a confidentiality order that kept county officials and other parties involved in clean-up negotiations with the polluter, Gelman Sciences, from disclosing information about the legal proceedings. Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners Chair Jason Morgan reveals part of the proposed clean-up plan.
Commissioner Jason Morgan: Focus on remediating the dioxane to a level of 7.2 parts per billion rather than 85 that is currently in place.
