City Of Ann Arbor Is Recruiting Climate Ambassadors

City of Ann Arbor

The City of Ann Arbor is looking for residents to participate in its A2 Zero Climate Ambassador Program.

The nine-week program will equip residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to support Ann Arbor’s transition toward community-wide carbon neutrality by the year 2030.  Missy Stults is the sustainability and innovations manager for the city and says training for the program starts November 18th via Zoom.

Missy Stults: So, if your neighborhood is really excited about renewable energy, for example, you may want to start there. If your neighborhood has flooding issues, you may want to start with stormwater. And so, the idea is that you learn about all of these topics, but you’re going to create a contextualize plan that really focuses on the needs that you have in your neighborhood.

Ann Arbor residents of all ages can submit applications to be considered for one of about 20 available climate ambassador positions.  To register, click here.
