The Washtenaw County Board of Commissionerswill discuss tonight how they may move forward with county operations amid a COVID-19 crisis.

That includes allowing some county workers to continue to work from home after the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order from the governor is lifted.  Commissioner Jason Morgan says the modifications they’re considering should not affect public services.

"We’ve had a lot of folks working from home so far and have still been providing a lot of services through Washtenaw County. I think the areas to look at will be particularly the clerk’s office in terms of what services are reopening there."

Morgan says keeping both county employees and residents safe from COVID-19 remains a high priority.
