It's probably safe to say that the most popular treat on Fat Tuesday is the Paczki. But did you know that you can get a healthier version of the pastry in Ann Arbor?
For the last five years,The Lunch Room Bakery and Cafeon Fuller Court has been selling a baked and not deep-fried version of the doughnut. Paczki usually have between 300 and 450 calories, but co-owner Joel Panozzo says you won't feel guilty after eating their doughnuts.
"I would say our paczki probably have maybe a quarter of the calories that a normal traditional paczki would have. But I can't say for certain."
The bakery makes 500 vegan paczki for Fat Tuesday, and they're all expected to sell quickly.
