Washtenaw County Road Commission Will Ask Voters To Renew Millage

Washtenaw County Road Commission

The Washtenaw County Road Commission will host a virtual meeting Tuesday night to inform voters on a millage renewal proposal they will see on the August primary ballot.

The zoom meeting starts at 6:30 pm and will feature information on the countywide roads and non-motorized millage that voters originally approved in 2016.  The four-year, 0.5 millwould generate about $8.9 million a year for projects, such as chipseal work and pedestrian crossings.  Emily Kizer is a spokesperson for the road commission.

Emily Kizer: We have over 215 miles of road improvements planned that spread across the entire county that would take place over that four-year period.

For information on how to participate in the zoom meeting, visit the road commission’s website.
