Ann Arbor officials hope to improve traffic flow along the South State Corridor. They'll be looking at how to best align with recently adopted land use plans.
A year long study will include collecting traffic data and plugging it into various models. Transportation Program Manager Eli Cooper says they will then seek community feedback once all the benefits and costs can be shared.
Cooper says the challenge in the area includes meeting the needs of local traffic as well as those using the corridor to get on and off I-94. Any major changes will be long-term projects but they could add pedestrian and bike features quickly if they're warranted.
