U-M's Kappa Alpha Theta sorority has been disbanded after reports of "serious violations" of university policy.
The sorority is the oldest at the University of Michigan, dating back 137 years. The group was already under suspension during the spring semester for underage drinking and hazing violations, but Kappa Alpha Theta's national organization ultimately made the decision to disband U-of-M's chapter on Monday after further undisclosed violations.
The sorority's members will be allowed to stay in their house until April.
