The school year is almost over, and many college graduates are getting ready to look for their first real job. Unfortunately, that search is being made even tougher thanks to a recent increase in phishing scams.
The newest ones involve phony e-mails that try to get personal information by offering bogus high-paying jobs.
To help combat the problem, Eastern Michigan University has launched a new educational campaign called "Ask Why Before You Apply."
The campaign will include banners in high-traffic areas around campus and posts on social media detailing common tricks used by scammers.
