A crowd of people were demanding action, but the Ypsilanti City Council on Tuesday decided not to vote on a resolution condemning the siege that took place this month on West Cross Street. WEMU’s Kevin Meerschaert reports.

With an exceptionally large crowd expected, tonight’s Ypsilanti City Council meeting will be held in the Eastern Michigan University Student Center. WEMU’s Kevin Meerschaert reports.

A police standoff in Ypsilanti ended late Monday with the suspect taken safely into custody. There have since been questions raised by members of the community about the level of police response to the crisis. WEMU’s Caroline MacGregor reports.
