It’s Black History Month, and in honor of this historic occasion, we speak with Dr. Chelsea Harris-Hugan. She shares her childhood dreams of becoming an educator to her current role as principal of Ypsilanti Community High School. WEMU’s Caroline MacGregor talked with Dr. Harris-Hugan about her journey and challenges as a Black woman in education and the inspiration she has imparted to her students.

As technology evolves, more businesses are using unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), or drones. To keep up with industry demand, Ypsilanti Community High School (YCHS) is training students to become federally licensed drone pilots and business owners. WEMU’s Caroline MacGregor reports.
