A local high school team is getting national attention, but it's not for sports.  The Ypsilanti Community School district Grizzly Robotics team is being featured on HBO'S "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel."

89.1 WEMU's Lisa Barry talks with the team's mentor Scott Heister and school superintendent Dr. Benjamin Edmondson about the award-winning program, its national exposure, and an upcoming team trip to China.

Heister and Edmonds talk about the many benefits of the district's robotics program open to both boys and girls.  The team has won numerous awards and is planning to go to China next month to help raise robotic and engineering awareness and work with 24 schools who are planning to have a team next year.
