A dual language program at Ypsilanti Puentes Multilingual School is dedicated to language development in early childhood. “Bridging Language, Honoring Identity: The Impact of Scaffolded Bilingual Bridging on Spanish Language Development" is a new project that will explore how Spanish–English instructional strategies on vocabulary retention affects students in a Spanish-immersion setting. At Ypsilanti Community Schools, the Resiliency Center has grown into one of these spaces that really is making a difference in our community. Since its start, the center has expanded from a single room into a multi-room resource hub, offering clothing, hygiene supplies, internet access, and connections to community services for hundreds of families each year.
