Get ready for fun! On Saturday, June 27, Nichols Arboretum transforms into an open-air playground where kids and grown-ups can explore, create, and play at their own pace. Big Play Day is free and drop-in, arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and let curiosity lead the way. With a blend of open-ended nature play and hands-on exploration, Big Play Day celebrates the pure joy of playing outdoors, meeting new friends, and discovering fresh ways to move, build, and imagine. Whether you’re weaving a bird’s nest, pounding a drum, or turning sticks into sculptures, every activity invites playful discovery.

Tour 17 spectacular homes and find resources to help with your home plans. Visit Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Dexter, Saline, Pinckney and Whitmore Lake, find a home, design inspiration, and professionals to talk about your home plans. This year's Showcase is featuring: 4 Custom Homes, 7 New Construction Models, 4 Remodels, and 2 Outdoor Living Spaces.

Yes, Ann Improv Festival is Ann Arbor’s newest summer cultural event, bringing four days of improv comedy, headliner shows, showcase performances, workshops, afterparties, and community events to hear.say brewing + theater and the Michigan Theater.

The inaugural festival features nationally recognized performers from Dropout, Smosh, Upright Citizens Brigade, television, film, podcasts, and comedy stages across the country, alongside more than 50 improv teams from 12 states. Audiences can catch headline performances, discover local favorites, see visiting teams from around the country, and experience a full festival weekend built around unscripted comedy and creative community.

Presented by hear.say brewing + theater, Yes, Ann celebrates Ann Arbor’s growing improv scene while welcoming performers and audiences from across the region and beyond.

Field Day, an amateur radio event that takes place on the last full weekend of June every year, is an emergency communications exercise, public outreach event, and social event all rolled into one. Hams operate round-the-clock from tents and RVs using emergency power supplied by gas generators, solar panels, and batteries. You are invited to watch, join in, and get on the air!The event officially starts Saturday June 27th @ 2:00pm EDT, lasting for 24 hours, ending on Sunday June 28th at 2:00pm EDT.

The first teach-in. Lawsuits. Nazi resistance. U-M has long been home to activism, and this walking tour will visit historically significant locations where you will learn about protests on campus. We will cover women’s activism, the legacy of the Treaty of Fort Meigs, the Black Action Movement, anti-Vietnam War activism, and more.

Guided walking tour led by student docents. Duration: 1.25 hours; 1.25 miles.

Meet outside the Michigan League entrance on Ingalls Mall (facing the fountain).

Tour will take place in rain or snow, but will be cancelled for severe weather (registrants will be notified via email).
