The creative community in Ypsilanti will come together to work and play this week. The 6th season of the Independent Film Festival-Ypsilanti kicks off with a full slate of programming and movie-making opportunity. iFFY, as it's called, will run from Thursday, April 17th through Saturday, April 19th. WEMU's David Fair was joined by iFFY co-founder and Board member Donald Harrison and festival co-director Micah Vanderhoof for an inside look.

The Independent Film Festival Ypsilanti, or iFFY, kicks off its 4th season tonight. On this week's edition of "On The Ground Ypsi," WEMU's Cathy Shafran, Concentrate Media's Rylee Barnsdale, and iFFY's program director, Micah Vanderhoof, bring you details on the four-day festival that includes plenty of affordable films, interactive workshops, and engaging activities for the community.

The Independent Film Festival Ypsilanti (iFFY) gets underway Thursday and runs through Saturday at the Riverside Arts Center. This is the third year of the festival but, because of pandemic issues, it is the first in which it can be presented, as intended.
