Two bills passed with immediate effect in the Michigan House that will prohibit non-citizens from accessing government welfare programs. WEMU’s Ana Longoria reports.

The Michigan Immigrant Rights Center has had to lay off employees and scale back several of its programs across all five of its offices, including the Ypsilanti location, due to cuts in federal funding. WEMU’s Ana Longoria has the details.

The Ann Arbor Police Department has confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been sighted in the city. This has led to raising concerns from the local migrant community. WEMU’s Ana Longoria has more.
