Anti-abortion groups will soon be on sidewalks and at events around the state, asking voters to support measures that would restrict abortion in Michigan.  There are two groups trying to get enough signatures for their ballot initiatives.

A state elections board has rejected petitions filed by the campaign to legalize marijuana in Michigan.  The next step appears to be a court battle over the time limits set by the state to gather petition signatures.

A state House committee will review a bill Wednesday which will limit the time frame to gather petition signatures to 180 days.

A Detroit pastor seeking to unseat U.S. Rep. John Conyers says an elections clerk should be commended for a ruling that the longtime legislator doesn't have enough signatures to appear on the Aug. 5 primary ballot for Michigan's 13th Congressional District.  Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett said Tuesday that Conyers' nominating petitions were insufficient.
