The Washtenaw County Health Department is predicting a continued rise in cases of influenza this winter. And a new influenza strain could evade immunity provided by this year’s flu vaccines. Spokesperson for the health department, Beth-Ann Hamilton brings us up to date on cases and the flu vaccine, which, health officials say, is the best tool health officials have in preventing hospitalizations and death.
