According to the Global Terrorism Index, there has been a sharp increase in antisemitism and Islamophobia since October 7, 2023. A report by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) identified an “unprecedented” number of hate crimes and bigotry in the West. Locally, in Washtenaw County, we are not exempt. A recent spate of anti-Semitic attacks, including one on the Jewish Resource Center this past weekend have renewed concerns within the community.
